This is a selection of the poetry of Shiv K. Kumar, Padma Bhushan and Sahitya Akademi Award winning novelist, poet and playwright. It ranges from poems from his first collection, Articulate Silences published in 1970, to Losing My Way, published in 2004. Shiv K. Kumar is considered one of the major contemporary poets of modern India. His poetry explores, in almost involuntarily flowing words, the essential dilemmas of human life. Kumar’s treatment of images of men and women unself-consciously blends the sacred and profane.
