Cirrhosis of liver includes progressive & widespread death of liver cells associated with inflammation and fibrosis leading to loss of normal liver structure. In Ayurveda cirrhosis of liver is known as "Yakrit Vishamyata". In this disease the kapha (phlegm) of the body combines with impure blood and creates the stage of decaying of liver cells .In Ayurveda this disease is classified into three parts as per increase of particular dosha in body. These are: -
Vataj: caused by increase vatta in body. -
Pittaj: caused by increase pitta in body. -
Kaphaj: caused by increase kapha in body. Symptoms: Weakness, fatigue, muscles cramps, weight loss, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension, loss of appetite, flatulence, diarrhoea, constipation, clubbing of finger, pain in abdomen (right upper side). Juice of bitter gourd -
Bhringraj (Eclipta Alba) juice twice a day -
Fruits of Jamun -
Aloe Vera (Ghrit kumari) juice -
Methi powder (fenu Greek) with warm powder -
Bhumiamla (Phyllanthus Niruri) -
Punarnava (Boerharia Diffusa) -
Kasni (chicory) decoction of kasni flower, seeds or root three times a day useful in so many liver disorders -
Decoction of bark of Henna (mehndi) plants works effectively in liver disorders Therapeutical remedies- -
