Now with over five decades of a very productive, successful career, Sakti Burman has a vast body of work which is being shown in Delhi together for the first time. The collection from several important private collections, covering works as early as the late fifties where he dabbles with textile design, until his current work where Mahatma Gandhi became a focus. There will be over a 100 works on view spanning five to six decades of his career. The exhibition will be accompanied by a book, with essays on his work by Kishore Singh, Dr. B N Goswami, Jawahar Sircar and more. |
