| | An art exhibition displaying comic sculptures by French artist Guillermo Forchino and new age art by Delhi based artist Hemant Puri.
Forchino chooses to create figures and scenes that resemble the world of comic strip and cartoon characters. They are typically unusual and humorous subjects such as a family leaving on vacation in an overloaded car with flat tires bowlegged football player, etc.
His characters are always handled with humor and finesse and given a soul. To create his sculptures, he works with rather heteroclite materials. He models the heads either with papier-mache, or in Cernit. For the bodies, he uses a Bi-component epoxy paste of Axson, plasteline or clay that depends on what he wants to obtain because each material has its specific qualities.
