Christmas Party at Goethe-Zentrum Hyderabad. The coziness of candles, the warmth of home made Glhwein (hot spiced wine), the frolic of Christmas carols and the gentleness of a Santa Klaus novel. yes, Christmas time has arrived also this year. This time we celebrate in a special way: a German culinary Christmas drink, songs and German fairy tales will be brought to you. Also, following the ancient German tradition of anticipating Christmas with the Advents period, we will light the fourth of the candles on our Adventskranz. Join us for this time of merriment and peace together! Advent is the period preceding Christmas, starting four Sundays before the holy days. In this period, an Adventskranz (crown made out of leafs) with four candles decorates the dining table around which families gather to eat delicious Christmas bakery and sip Glhwein. On each Sunday, a candle is lit, until, on Christmas day, all four are burning.
